THE LECHWEG

Follow the last wild river and hike through the diverse landscape of the Lechtal-Reutte nature park region.

The roughly 125 km long-distance hiking trail leads you from the source close to Formarinsee lake via Warth into the Lechtal-Reutte nature park region until it reaches its final destination at the Lechfall waterfall in Füssen in Allgäu. It therefore links up the traditions and histories of three regions and two countries.

THE VERSIONS

On the trail of the magical light blue-turquoise to jade green wild river, the Lechweg trail leads through the Lechtal-Reutte nature park region over different stages.

Whether it’s a section or the entire course of the river from the source to the fall, with the different tour suggestions you can decide which part of the Lechweg you would like to explore during your holiday in Lechtal, depending on your own level of fitness and hiking goals.

Collect kilometres diligently with the classic version and walk the 7-day hike with a total of daily stages of up to 24.6 km. But a holiday can also be relaxing. For nature lovers, we recommend the slow-paced version, where there is still plenty of time to get to know the region with all its culture on each stage.
